Long Gone Gonzo: Hunter S. Thompson 15 Years Gone

By James Calemine

“It never got weird enough for me.” –Hunter S. Thompson

15 years ago today Hunter S. Thompson shot himself in his Woody Creek, Colorado,  home. I was scheduled to interview Thompson 9 days later on March 1, 2005, but obviously that never transpired. You  can read the details about how Thompson’s agent set the interview up for me in Insured Beyond The Grave.

Here are a few Thompson-related dispatches for your perusal on the Good Doctor’s Death Day. Buy the ticket. Take the ride.
